Pregnancy Week 24

Not much to report here.  Feeling great and although the weather has been a little all over the place I prefer the 50-60 and somewhat cloudy weather over the 80's we had for a few days.  Even not preggo I don't really like 80--it's not good for much of anything.  We celebrated my Papa Bear's birthday on Sunday at the cottage with some pizza and banana cake--yum after the frosting was scraped off.  Also stopped for ice-cream on the way home and was very careful to select a "boring" flavor that wouldn't be too overwhelmingly sweet.  I ended up with black raspberry.  Critter went for their first boat ride too.
I am feeling really good and can't believe how quickly this is going by as well as slow sometimes too.  My laptop decided to have some issues at the beginning of last week and went to get checked out.  Finally have it back so the post is a little late but better than nothing.  Photos this week compliments of all regular clothes (hooray for an elastic band maxi skirt and a size medium shirt from Target.

Looking forward to--having a long weekend for Memorial Day.

Pregnancy Week 23

Wow, time is going fast and slow at the same time!  Critter is the size of a grapefruit and is quite active in my belly, kicking away regularly and more in the evenings or just after I eat or run.  I went to the doctors on Friday and everything is looking great with Critter.  I am measuring on track and healthy.  Having officially gained 10 pounds now.  Critter has a heart rate of 151 and my blood pressure is low/normal and all my other stats are good too!  So far so good and pretty easy (thankful that I can continue to run or I might be singing a different tune).  I am wearing a mix of regular and maternity shirts although I am sure the days of my non-maternity shirts might be limited (at least for certain shirts).  My shirt is a regular shirt from Target and my skirt is a Sparkle Skirt.  Of course I have my skirt scrunched up under my belly since I don't like things over or on my belly.
I found a great deal on my favorite brand of running socks, Feetures!  They are last years colors so they basically were half off and I had a discount code.  I only ordered 2 pairs though because I like to have different colors so I know what socks go together since they aren't "just cotton socks."
This little love bug must be near me at all times apparently too.  Here she is helping me track some sparkle sisters running the Tinker Bell 1/2 marathon out in Disneyland.  If she isn't attempting to get some snuggles she's watching everything I do and following me around the house.  Such a cutie.
No crazy dreams that I can recall this week but I'm sure they will make a return at some point since that seems to be a pregnant theme.  Let the crazy out!  Manfriend has said that I've been really good and he's just waiting for the crazy hormones to come out and for me to send him to the store for something bizzaro to eat.  He mentioned I've only been a little emotional like 3 times and he's glad I am not crazy or craving anything or being helpless or demanding.  Just wait, I'm sure come late summer you will be doing a lot more yardwork because of the heat.

Pregnancy Week 22

We can see Critter moving from the outside now and not just feel my belly flittering about as Critter kicks and turns.  Still running strong and feeling great.  Manfriend asks almost every night after dinner while he is massaging my feet, knees, calves, back if Critter is kicking and if he can feel.  I let him know if Critter is napping or not and if Critter is moving he gets a big grin on his face that gets bigger with any little flitter he feels.  He was really intrigued by the movement of Critter that he could see.    I mowed the lawn early in the week and Manfriend put down the fertilizer/weed killer stuff--knowing he'd catch some flack from people if he let me do that.
Friday night my mom, sister and I went to a sale where I was able to score some cloth diapers made by a MRTT momma.  I love her cloth diapers and plan to use them with our Critter.  I've contacted her about making more for me so I have a complete "stash/set."  She no longer makes the diapers but is more than happy to for me since I don't have the right snap setter to make them as awesome as she does.  Last summer she taught me how to make the diapers and I have made a few but can't quite get the snaps right with the hand press thing.
I went to the Farmer's Marked with my mom, sister and nephew on Saturday and am looking forward to going with Manfriend some weekend to get some fruits and veggies and meat.  It was a gorgeous weekend.  After the market my mom, sister and I went to a few garage sales and scored some great deals.   I got a pack-n-play and some maternity clothes.  Jen was able to find a toddler bed for Michael and a poker table that folds up for Bob and their new house.  We also found the deal of the day--a holiday countdown calendar just like the one we had growing up as kids.  So happy the weather has been

The little fur ball in the above photo loves some attention when I get home from work.  If I am not giving her enough attention she bites at me--but only at my clothes, never at skin to get my attention.  Well, she got my thin long sleeve t-shirt and bit a hole in it then sat off to the side waiting for some attention.  Good thing this shirt cost me about $7 over 4 years ago and it is worn thin.

Crazy Dreams--I was playing some card game and what the cards said became what was happening in real life and it was some type of Harry Potter world where bizzaro things happen (and I've never read or seen HP).  Kind of like the movie Jumanji.  There were also a bunch of other people involved/playing the game walking around in Sparkle Skirts and their names were their skirts.
In my other piece of crazy I trained cats to ride bicycles on the tightrope and to do the trapeze. I probably had about 30 cats in my little circus that performed and did crazy stunts.  Why do I dream about cats and circus's?

Pregnancy Week 21

Well, I am close to having gained double digits according to our scale at home.  Probably will hit that number by week 22.  Feeling really good and Critter has been moving quite a bit more that I can feel--usually after I am back from a run.  We had snow this week (yuck!).  Manfriend is awesome and says goodnight to Critter.  Not much really went on this week other than I was just plain tired.  I think it is a combination of the yuck weather and state testing--it really throws the daily routine they are used to off and makes the day at school seem to creep by.
I did manage to clean the kitchen, vacuum and catch up on laundry after the whole flooded basement incident last week. So I was busy with all that week nights.  Because of the basement thing I had almost 2 weeks of laundry to do instead of 1 week.  Not a big deal but it kind of is since I only have so many pairs of pants that fit.  I see a trip to Goodwill in the future because I can survive on most of my wrap dresses until the school year is over and then I can just wear running clothes over the summer but will need just a few more pairs of pants for chilly days that aren't as dressy (maybe jeans and cords)
Really haven't had any cravings other than I LOVE PB sandwiches, goldfish crackers, diced peaches/pineapple and raspberry yogurt.  Well, once a week I *really* want a Frosty from Wendy's so Manfriend indulged and treated me to Wendy's.  Usually it is my mom and I going to Wendy's on Craftastic Thursday (the day we get together to do a craft but have yet to accomplish a craft).  So Saturday rolled around and I was really wanting one.  That is about the only sweet thing that I want/crave and it is only once a week I really want it.  I am not into cookies, brownies, cake, etc which is good and probably why my weight hasn't really been going up quickly.  I had to tighten my watch band a few weeks ago to a smaller notch.
Crazy Dream--we rented a house in the Caribbean and David Spade was there too (probably cause I watched Rules of Engagement the other day--love that show) but he kept trying to hide stuff and make us figure out what was missing.  He would take an umbrella out of the stand and hide it behind the curtains, a table nicknack would be in the silverware drawer and I spent the entire dream playing find the stuff I hid/moved.
